An Accenture business unit has received a potential three-year, $49.4M task order to modernize an information technology platform the U.S. Air Force uses to manage payroll, leave-management and primary human resources functions.
Accenture Federal Services will work to build a web-based enterprise resource planning system to consolidate the military branch's personnel and pay processes that support more than 600K service members, the company said Thursday.
AFS will collaborate with an Air Force program and functional management office to implement a new system designed to process, secure and deliver information.
George Batsakis, defense portfolio lead at AFS, said the military service is committed to transform its business practices and increase support for troops and their families.
“We’re honored to help the Air Force advance its innovation agenda and support HR modernization to better support the people who serve our nation,†Batsakis added.
