General Dynamics“™ information technology business has secured a spot on a potential 10-year, $50B contract vehicle to provide engineering and program support services to the U.S. Navy.

The company said Monday it will compete for task orders to support five Navy systems commands, the Office of Naval Research and the U.S. Marine Corps through the SeaPort Next Generation contract.

SeaPort NxG contains a five-year base period along with one five-year option.

“We are excited to expand our firm relationship with the Navy and deliver cutting-edge technologies and services through this new contract vehicle,“ said Leigh Palmer, senior vice president of the defense division at General Dynamics Information Technology.

GDIT is among the 1,870 awardees on the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract awarded in early December.
