Tracy McKibben, a former official at the White House’s National Security Council, has joined the board of directors of Huntington Ingalls Industries.
She is the founder investment and consulting firm MAC Energy Advisors, which she also leads as its CEO, and has worked with government and industry clients throughout her professional career, HII said Friday.
McKibben previously led European economic affairs and European Union relations at NSC and served in senior advisory roles within the Department of Commerce.
She also worked as managing director and head of environmental banking strategy at Citigroup Global Markets.
Thomas Fargo, HII’s board chairman, said McKibben’s more than two-decade energy industry experience includes 15 years of work focused on alternative and renewable energy, clean technology, water, infrastructure and sustainability management.
“Her demonstrated success in these arenas will help to create further momentum and value creation in our government services market growth opportunities,†Fargo added.
McKibben also currently holds several key roles in the public and private sectors, including as trustee at the New York Power Authority, director of Ecolab and USAA, and as member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
