By Light Gets $65M DoD Telecom Support Order - top government contractors - best government contracting eventBy Light Professional IT Services has received a potential $65M task order to help the Defense Department refresh tools that support mission-critical telecommunications for Defense Information Systems Network users worldwide.

The company said Monday it will provide project management, engineering, site surveys and logistics services, as well as implement multiple technology platforms as part of the DISN Technology Refreshment Turnkey Project.

Work will also include test or turn-up, de-installation, configuration management and transition support work.

The task order falls under the Defense Information Systems Agency‘s Global Information Grid Services Management-Engineering, Transition and Implementation contract and consolidates the Implementation Engineering and Tech Refresh orders.

Don Cole, a senior vice president of By Light, said the company will use a turnkey approach to carry out the project and provide voice, radio and data services to the DISN.
