The U.S. Army plans to award SOS International a sole-source contract to provide base life support and security services at a military installation in Taji, Iraq.
SOSi will provide the “noncommercial” services in support of a U.S.-led joint task force that aims to prevent the Islamic State militant group from destabilizing Iraq as part of Operation Inherent Resolve, Army Contracting Command said in a FedBizOpps notice posted Thursday.
Scope of work includes ground maintenance, waste management, entry control point operation, hazardous material storage and lease of nontactical vehicles for ammunition supply point at Camp Taji.
The contract will have a 12-month base period, four 12-month options and an additional six-month extension.
