The U.S. Air Force aims to acquire new technologies or methods for real-time processing of data and collection of cyber and signals intelligence communications.
The service requires new processing techniques and tools that will support its intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance mission to protect “blue” coalition forces, according to a broad agency announcement that FedBizOpps posted Tuesday.
Such technologies should provide the abilities to:
- Intercept, acquire, access, exploit, process and locate both covert and overt data and signals in the cyberspace domain
- Identify, collect, process, geolocate and control electronic communication signals in a moderate to dense co-channel environment
- Provide real-time processing and reporting of tactical information
- Operate in environments in low signal-to-noise ratio areas
The government wants “versatile multi-agency systems that rely on an open architecture with scalable technologies,†the document stated.
The BAA remains open through Sept. 30, 2021, and the Air Force plans to release a nearly $100M multiple-award contract for the program, with each award not exceeding a four-year period.
The service would obligate a $28.8M funding in fiscal year 2019, $36M in fiscal 2020 and $34M in fiscal 2021 for the program.
