AAR has received a five-year, $51M contract from the U.S. Marshals Service to maintain and provide logistics support for Boeing 737 planes the Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System operates.
The company said Friday it will offer full support to two aircraft units stationed at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas and at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma.
JPATS manages the aerial transport of prisoners between judicial districts, correctional facilities and foreign countries.
Work under the agreement began Saturday and covers the provision of equipment, supplies and labor services.
Wood Dale, Ill.-based AAR provides aircraft maintenance, fixed base operator, depot support and supply chain management services to the government sector.
