USPS Seeks Vendors of Email Authentication, Reporting Services - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe U.S. Postal Service has issued a request for information on contractors that offer email authentication analysis, reporting and professional services.

A FedBizOpps notice posted Wednesday said the agency’s Office of Inspector General seeks vendors capable of providing and maintaining a Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program-certified, cloud-based software-as-a-service offering for email validation.

The technology should allow USPS’ Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance system to deliver aggregate and forensic reports to one or more email domains, as well as store information in a data center within a minimum of 90 days.

Additionally, the system should notify OIG-designated administrators at least once a week about email authentication errors and the technical accuracy, completeness and usefulness of reports.

The effort is in compliance with the Department of Homeland Security‘s Enhance Email and Web Security directive, which guides federal agencies in implementing standards for email and web security.

USPS will accept responses to its RFI until Nov. 19.
