The Transportation Security Administration plans to establish a new contract vehicle that will cover “agile” development services for the agency’s efforts to customize and integrate information technology platforms that support its mission.
TSA said in a FedBizOpps notice posted Monday it looks to procure IT design, development, testing and adaptive maintenance services through a blanket purchase agreement under the General Services Administration‘s IT Schedule 70 contract.
The agency also eyes industry teams that can provide applications development services, enable cloud computing capabilities in different cloud models and obtain public and subscription-based information on demand, among other things.
The effort comes as TSA’s application development division begins to leverage modern technologies and practices such as microservices, continuous integration and deployment, automated testing and cloud platforms to deliver services.
TSA will accept comments on its pre-award notice until Nov. 15.
