SOCOM Orders Boeing A/MH-6 Helicopter Airframe Structures - top government contractors - best government contracting eventBoeing has received a potential $45M contract to provide updated airframe structures for U.S. Special Operations Command’s A/MH-6  helicopters.

The company will provide 56 primary airframes for the rotary wing platform under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract that has a minimum order value of $100K, the Defense Department said Monday.

SOCOM will obligate $5.2M in fiscal 2018 procurement funds at the time of award.

Work will primarily take place at Boeing’s facility in Mesa, Ariz.

AH-6 is a light attack and armed reconnaissance helicopter designed for security and escort, combat search-and-rescue, close combat attack and troop insertion and extraction missions.
