Raytheon has received a $72.8M contract modification to perform integration, test and qualification work on an updated guidance electronics unit for the Missile Defense Agency.
The Defense Department said Thursday the company’s missile systems business has entered into the third phase of GEU procurement efforts as part of the Standard Missile-3 Block IIA program.
The modification brings the contract’s total face value from $1.19B.
MDA will obligate $1M in fiscal year 2018 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
The agency notified Congress of the program’s second phase in late 2016.
Phase 3 work commenced Oct. 1 and will continue through Sept. 30, 2020.
