ManTech will provide technology research and development services to the U.S. Marine Corps under a potential 44-month, $35M task order.
The company said Wednesday it plans to explore emerging technologies that have potential interoperability, reusability, mapping and scalability applications to the military service’s priority operational requirements.
Focus areas of the R&D project include aviation, electronic warfare, artificial intelligence, logistics, weaponry, medicine, cyber, machine learning and C4ISR.
“By defining, measuring, and validating the fit of emerging technologies with combat needs, we are bringing digital to the mission in ways that will advance combat advantage for Marine Corps warfighters,†said Kevin Phillips, president and CEO of ManTech.
Phillips added the company will use an agile approach to assist the branch’s warfighting laboratory science and technology division.
ManTech will also provide additive manufacturing support to help MCWL S&T project managers modify platforms.
The task order was awarded through the Defense Department‘s potential $28BÂ Information Analysis Center Multi-Award Contract.
