Kratos Defense & Security Solutions will debut a simulation platform at the 2018 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference as part of efforts to address military training requirements.
The Kratos Platform consists of commercial off-the-shelf devices, including virtual reality headsets, and allows course developers to choose a scenario that aligns with their training objectives, the company said Monday.
The platform is designed to also facilitate delivery of MR-based courses in various environments such as a stationary rotary aircraft’s cockpit and a simulator in the company’s Holodeck system.
Holodeck features VR headsets equipped with stereoscopic cameras and an image generator built to immerse users in simulated mission scenarios.
The company added it will present an MR-powered field tactics simulation at the ongoing I/ITSEC.
