Kratos Gets New UAV Development Projects, Opens New Production Site - top government contractors - best government contracting eventKratos Defense & Security Solutions‘ number of ongoing unmanned air vehicle public programs have increased from three to seven over this year’s third quarter, resulting to a new 100K-square feet production facility in Oklahoma City, Flight Global reported Friday.

Eric DeMarco, the company’s CEO, said at an earnings call earlier this month that Kratos is also in talks to occupy another production site at a location currently under wraps.

The company’s publicly disclosed customers include the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory and the Defense Department‘s Defense Innovation Unit.

Kratos will equip the Mako UTAP-22 UAV with sensors for the DIU and demonstrate the “Loyal Wingman” combat support approach with the XQ-58A Valkyrie model for AFRL.

The company is additionally catering to undisclosed UAV clients in Europe and Asia under an approval of sale with the Department of State.
