General Dynamics‘ information technology business can vie for task orders to help the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services manage quality of the federal health care system under a potential 10-year, $1.6B contract awarded in August.
The company said Friday it will continue to support CMS in the next decade as the agency looks to develop and implement health care quality measures through the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
Kamal Narang, vice president of the health sector at General Dynamics Information Technology, said the business has supported the agency’s Measure and Instrument Development and Support program over the past five years.
He added GDITÂ seeks to help CMS address its mission to deliver health care and resources.
The agency will use the contract to issue orders for efforts to support the development of measures related to clinical care quality and coordination, population and community health, safety, patient and caregiver experience and outcomes and efficiency.
GDIT among the 31 contractors that landed spots on the multiple-award IDIQ.
