General Dynamics’ mission systems business has unveiled a small encryption technology built to help military customers secure video, data and voice communications.
TACLANE-Nano is designed for mobile users and has passed live traffic such as streaming videos in real time with other high-assurance internet protocol encryptors, General Dynamics said Wednesday.
The small form-factor device works to integrate with flyaway kits and deployable systems, as well as facilitates communications during intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, dismounted tactical forward deployment, covert and special operations.
General Dynamics developed the ruggedized product to support crypto modernization initiatives such as legacy and link encryptor replacement, advanced cryptographic capabilities and over the network keying.
The company plans to seek National Security Agency certification for TACLANE-Nano in the last quarter of this year.
