Fortinet has received a Defense Department certification that allows the company to offer additional security platforms to DoD agencies to meet their cybersecurity requirements.
The company said Thursday more than 50 additional Fortinet Security Fabric offerings were added to the DoD Information Network Approved Products List following the completion of the Security Technical Implementation Guide testing process.
Bob Fortna, president of Fortinet Federal, said the DoDIN APL certification seeks to demonstrate the company’s commitment to stringent validation and testing guidelines of DoD.
Fortinet Security Fabric platforms work to protect unclassified and classified government systems from cyber threats and comply with federal requirements such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology FIPS 140-2 certification and the Commercial Solutions for Classified certification.
Some of the company’s offerings that secured the APL certification include FortiGate Firewalls, Fortigate-VM, Fortigate Rugged and FortiWifi products.
