BAE Unit Wins $80M Contract to Help Manage Navy Comm, Electronic & Computer Systems - top government contractors - best government contracting event

BAE Systems‘ technology solutions and services business will help the U.S. Navy maintain and operate electronic, communication and computing platforms under a potential five-year, $79.8M contract.

The firm-fixed-price contract has a base value of $13.9M over a 12-month period that runs through November 2019 and work could extend for an additional four more years if all options are exercised, the Defense Department said Monday.

The Navy will obligate $3.9M at the time of award and the obligated funds are slated to expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

Ninety-four percent of work will take place in Oahu, Hawaii, while the remaining six percent will occur in Geraldton, Australia.

The service received two offers for the contract through an unrestricted full and open solicitation process.

Naval Supply Systems Command’s Fleet Logistics Center is the contracting activity.
