The U.S. Air Force has chosen Rockwell Collins to equip the F-16 jets with an updated receiver technology designed to counter GPS threats.
Rockwell Collins said Friday it will provide Digital GPS Anti-Jam Receivers for the Air Force Reserve’s and Air National Guard’s F-16 crews to navigate and operate in contested, electromagnetic environments.
The company noted that DIGAR integration efforts does not require changes to an operational flight program and A-kit aircraft wiring.
The receiver is built on an open systems architecture and designed to integrate with fighter, bomber, transport and unmanned aircraft platforms.
