Abaco Systems has partnered with EIZO Rugged Solutions to meet the video processing requirements of military and aerospace clients.Â
Abaco said Tuesday it will leverage EIZO’s experience in general-purpose graphics processing unit and video processing technology to offer new platforms for use in electronic warfare; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; remote sensing; and other compute-intensive operations.
The collaboration with EIZO allows Abaco to gain access to NVIDIA‘s Pascal-based GPU platforms designed to deliver computing performance of up to 6.4 teraflops through a 3U OpenVPX chassis slot.
Peter Thompson, vice president of product management at Abaco, said the partnership with EIZO would help the company accelerate the delivery of novel technology platforms to warfighters.
“The agreement also enables us to respond to the growing use of high-definition video in applications such as autonomous vehicles,†he added.
