Ron VanCourt, a more than two-decade naval program management veteran, has been named director of strategic development at Systecon’s North American business.
He will oversee deal strategy, relationship-building and customer interface efforts in his new role, Systecon said.
VanCourt previously served as program manager for the Naval Sea Systems Command 05V aircraft carrier engineering contract at Gryphon Technologies.
Prior to Gryphon, he held a 19-year career at the U.S. Navy and his more recent role there was director of naval ship construction.
He earned his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Arizona and the Naval Postgraduate School, respectively.
Arlington, Va.-based Systecon North America offers consulting services and develops software platforms for life cycle cost and management, performance analysis and cost optimization.
