Raytheon has expanded the geographic coverage of its cyber education and training initiatives to the U.K. and Kuwait.
The company said Monday it partnered with Kuwait University, Lancaster University and University of Gloucestershire to conduct workshops aimed at providing students with hands-on experience to recognize and counter network security threats through the Cyber Academy program.
“The cyber threat crosses boundaries and borders and is a global security imperative,” said Dave Wajsgras, president of Raytheon’s intelligence, information and services business.
“We’re working side by side with distinguished universities and our allies around the globe to prepare the next generation of cyber defenders to combat real-world cyberattacks,” added Wajsgras, a four-time Wash100 awardee.
The company first introduced Cyber Academy in the United Arab Emirates two years ago.
