NVIDIA and Oracle have partnered to integrate a cloud-based server technology with an infrastructure-as-a-service platform to help customers address various computing requirements.
The partnership will offer the NVIDIA’s HGX-2 platform on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in a push to give clients access to a unified architecture intended to support artificial intelligence, analytics and machine learning functions, Oracle said Wednesday.
Both companies will also support graphics processing units for deep learning and HPC containers from the GPU Cloud container registry on the enterprise IaaS platform.
Oracle also supports NVIDIA’s RAPIDS open-source software and seeks to bring the technology to the Data Science Cloud in an effort to help clients manage related workflows.
Data scientists can use RAPIDS to transfer their workflows onto the GPU and refine training for machine learning processes.
NVIDIA will introduce the software on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure through the NGC portal.
