The National Security Agency has developed and licensed a tool that works to prevent unauthorized access to computers, routers and phones.
NSA said Tuesday it granted PadJack licensing rights to the open port protector through agency’s Technology Transfer Program.
The tool functions as an anti-tamper seal and offers physical proof if an intruder attempts to break into the hardware.
The agency has shared its technology with intelligence agencies and also made the tool available to the public.
NSA noted it has more than 120 patented technologies for cybersecurity, internet of things, data science and mobility applications.
