NASA looks for a contractor to build spacecraft, integrate payload into the vehicle and support on-orbit operations for the Goddard Space Flight Center’s Heliophysics Medium Explorers Program.
The agency said in a FedBizOpps notice posted Tuesday it expects to allocate $200M in fiscal 2019 funds for the Announcement of Opportunity that will also cover instrument systems, mission science, safety and mission assurance, integration and testing support work.
GSFCÂ will work with a selected partner to integrate a scientific payload into a sun-pointed spacecraft designed to operate for at least 24 months in orbit.
The agency noted the mission could extend for at least two years.
Interested parties can submit responses to the sources sought notice through Oct. 16.
