Kratos Defense and Security Solutions has received a task order from KBR‘s government services arm to continue providing simulated aerial gunnery training services to the U.S. Air Force for an additional year.
KBRWyle awarded the order under an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for Kratos to train Air Force Global Strike Command’s special mission aviators to operate guns in the UH-1N helicopter platform, Kratos said Monday.
Training occurs at an aircrew training center located in Orlando, Fla.
Jose Diaz, senior vice president, Kratos Training Solutions, said the centers provides aircrew members with simulated crew coordination, rescue hoist and cargo sling operations.
The company-operated facility has full-mission simulators and also offers training on rotary-wing and search-and-rescue operations.
