IBM’s security business has introduced a mobile security operations center tasked to respond to demands for cybersecurity support and training services across the U.S. and Europe.
The company said Monday the X-Force Command Cyber Tactical Operations Center is a tractor trailer that houses a gesture-controlled cybersecurity office, data center and conference facilities.
The vehicle can also accommodate 24 operators, analysts and incident command center staff.
C-TOC will help companies train their personnel to respond to cyberattacks, deliver onsite cybersecurity support and build university students’ and private sector entities’ interest in computer protection.
IBM developed the mobile facility based on the tactical operations centers of military personnel and incident command posts used for emergency response operations, the company said.
Caleb Barlow, vice president of threat intelligence at IBM Security, said deploying a mobile facility that hosts cyberattack preparations for a global audience will help modernize incident response efforts for organizations worldwide.
C-TOC’s American tour will begin this Thursday at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., then move over to Europe in January 2019.
