IBM has unveiled an open source platform designed to help organizations manage workloads and applications across multiple cloud computing systems.
The company said Monday its Multicloud Manager includes a dashboard where users can oversee businesses, security and governance processes through various cloud systems from different providers.
The technology is designed to run on IBM’s Cloud Private platform, which is based on the Kubernetes container-orchestration system.
Multicloud Manager also works to help users view Kubernetes apps across multiple cloud environments, as well as simplify information technology operations management processes.
Arvind Krishna, senior vice president of hybrid cloud at IBM, said the company seeks to help enterprises uncover the advantages of cloud technology through the open source approach.
