Shawn Black, former vice president and general manager of Leonardo DRS‘ electro-optical and infrared systems business, has joined Cobham as the first chief operating officer of its advanced electronic solutions business.
Jill Kale, president of Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions, said in a statement released Monday that Black will oversee profit-and-loss accounts and operational strategies at CAES’ 16 facilities.
Black previously served as a senior consultant at Arthur Andersen and a system analyst at Perot Systems.
He also served at the U.S. Marine Corps between 1994 and 1999.
CAES manufactures radio frequency, microelectronics, antenna subsystems and motion control technologies designed to facilitate ground, maritime, aerial and space communications.
