FireEye Unveils Free Email Threat Detection Service - top government contractors - best government contracting event

FireEye has introduced a free cloud-based service meant to help organizations scan and detect potential malicious threats in email systems.

The FireProof Email Threat Analysis offering includes a less than five-minute setup process and seeks to identify malware or sophisticated threats that can avoid cybersecurity defenses, the company said Monday.

“In the evaluations that we’ve run for organizations, we’ve found a significant amount of malware that had bypassed their existing security tools.” Ken Bagnall, vice president of email security at FireEye.

The company offers the service as part of its new demonstration center that helps an organization to discover methods to defend against email-borne attacks.

To avail of the free offering, customers should fill out an evaluation request form and have Office 365 credentials to grant access for the analysis.

FireEye professionals aim to provide a report of their findings within two to four days.
