FBI Modifies Vendor Selection Approach for Potential $5B IT Contract Vehicle - top government contractors - best government contracting event

The FBI has decided not to conduct a full and open competition when selecting vendors for the bureau’s potential $5B contract vehicle covering information technology products and support services, Nextgov reported Monday.

The report noted the bureau intends to award 15 to 22 spots on the IT Supplies and Support Services contract to multiple large and small vendors that are part of the General Services Administration’s IT Schedule 70 procurement vehicle.

FBI could select up to 15 large contractors and up to seven small businesses for the ITSSS program, the report added.

The bureau’s contracting officials also consider modifying and aligning ITSSS’ track structure with the Technology Business Management framework for private sector organizations.
