Evolver-eVigilant Merger to Operate as Converged Security Solutions; Bob Friedenberg Quoted - top government contractors - best government contracting eventEvolver and eVigilant have agreed to merge to form a new company that will deliver managed cyber and physical security services and remote monitoring support to federal government and commercial clients.

The combined entity will operate in Reston, Va., as Converged Security Solutions and will be led by Bob Friedenberg as CEO, CSS said Tuesday.

“As the security threats to both physical systems and IT networks increases due to [internet of things], a converged security approach that integrates both disciplines is required,” said Friedenberg.

“CSS will deliver a highly innovative managed services model to help the C-Suite understand and quantify their risks,” he added.

Evolver CEO Bill Sabo will serve as president and chief operating officer of CSS and eVigilant CEO Gunvir Baveja will serve as executive vice president of strategic sales.

John Regazzi, former CEO of Elvesier, will assume the role of executive board chairman, while Mike O’Kane, Evolver founder and chairman, will serve as vice chairman.

Investment firms Akoya Capital and Hillcrest Holdings financed the merger of the two Virginia-based companies.

Reston-based Evolver is an IT consulting firm that provides cybersecurity, cloud, application development, legal technology platforms, infrastructure and end-user support to customers in government and commercial markets.

Lorton, Va.-based eVigilant designs, engineers, monitors and operates electronic security systems for critical infrastructure.
