The Defense Intelligence Agency has approved four three-year partnership agreements under a program meant to encourage large contracting firms to guide smaller businesses in capability improvement efforts.
Teams under the Mentor-Protege Program will focus on technological and application areas such as artificial intelligence, counterintelligence, analysis, mission support and organizational effectiveness, DIA said Tuesday.
The Defense Department launched MPP in 1990 in a move to address technical gaps that hinder small businesses from meeting goals as subcontractors.
New mentors and proteges under the program are:
- Allegheny Science & Technology and Targeted Approach
- Global Resource Solutions and NetSecurity
- Invictus International Consulting and Blue Sky Innovative Solutions
- Parsons’ government services arm and Willbrook Solutions
