DynCorp International has contributed $5K to the Air Force Aid Society’s fund effort aimed at supporting airmen affected by Hurricane Michael.

The hurricane struck and damaged Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida, the company said Friday.

According to the National Weather Center, Michael is the fourth-strongest landfalling hurricane — with regard to wind speed — to hit within the continental U.S.

“As we watched Hurricane Michael last week, our hearts went out to all the men and women of the U.S. Air Force on Florida’s Gulf Coast who had devoted so much to the defense of our nation,” said George Krivo, CEO at DynCorp International.

The Air Force Aid Society is an organization working to support the financial needs of airmen and their families in times of emergency, and provide them with everyday assistance through education and community support efforts.
