American Systems has received a five-year, $27M task order to engineer systems and maintain software of the Air National Guard’s C-130 multimission crew training assets.

The company said Wednesday it will also provide program management, operations, qualification and test support to the MMCT system support center at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph in Texas.

The order was awarded under the General Services Administration‘s Alliant contract vehicle and also includes deployment of training devices to 16 Air National Guard locations within the U.S.

MMCT employs a high-fidelity flight model and supports pilot and co-pilot training for C-130 avionics, navigation and other systems.

“The Air National Guard plays an important role in protecting our citizens at home and abroad, and we are honored to support their mission,” said Peter Smith, president and CEO of American Systems.
