Alion to Help Engineer, Test Navy Autonomous Maritime Systems - top government contractors - best government contracting eventAlion Science and Technology has received a potential five-year, $37M task order to provide technical services for the U.S. Navy‘s Autonomous Maritime Systems Test Center and unmanned undersea vehicle development efforts.

The company said Tuesday it will help AMSTC develop software; design, engineer and test systems; manage life cycle logistics; train and qualify operators; and secure UUVs from cyber threats.

“We are proud and humbled to work side by side with the Navy’s experts to design, develop and maintain these technologically complex assets,” said Vince Stammetti, an Alion senior vice president.

The military service awarded the task order under its SeaPort-e contract vehicle.
