Al Whitmore, president of the intelligence and security sector at BAE Systems‘ U.S. arm, has said the company will leverage internal research-and-development efforts to help address mission challenges at the Defense Department as part of an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
BAE said Monday it is eligible to compete for R&D and support task orders under the Defense Technical Information Center’s $28B Information Analysis Center Multi-Award Contract. All task orders awarded under the IDIQ are expected to exceed $15M.
“We are excited to help the government leverage innovations in artificial intelligence, machine learning and directed energy technologies to enhance the security and effectiveness of our warfighters across physical and digital domains,” Whitmore added.
The IAC MAC contract will cover the provision of services that can support the U.S. military’s current and future technology requirements.
