AECOM Named to 2019 Military Friendly Employers List; John Vollmer Quoted

Veteran-owned business VIQTORY has added AECOM to its list of top 100 military friendly employers for 2019 in recognition of the engineering services contractor’s efforts to hire and retain retired service personnel.

AECOM has been recognized by VIQTORY as Military Friendly Spouse Employer for six years in a row in addition to the 2019 Military Friendly Gold Employer award, the company said Tuesday.

“AECOM values the diversity, knowledge and outstanding contributions military veterans and spouses make to our business and we are honored to receive this recognition,” said John Vollmer, president of AECOM’s management services group.

“As a company, we employ more than 9,000 veterans on projects around the world, in a multitude of professions, disciplines and markets.”

AECOM works with several organizations to help veterans transition to civilian life, including America’s Wounded Warfighters, Career Transition Partnership, Semper Fi Fund and the Wounded Warrior Project.
