10ZiG Technology has introduced a fingerprint authentication system for the Imprivata OneSign Single-Sign-On system to simplify virtual access to patient records and healthcare information for doctors and healthcare providers.
The company said Thursday the Fingerprint Reader tool is designed to eliminate the need for healthcare professionals to sign in across multiple endpoints and keep different passwords.
10ZiG tested the new system with the 10ZiG Endpoint 4500 Thin and Zero Client series, which are designed to help information technology professionals securely conduct federal, government and banking deployments.
Kevin Greenway, chief technology officer of 10ZiG, said Imprivata Proximity Card and Fingerprint Readers with 10ZiG Clients can offer security and convenience, among other things, for multiple markets.
