The U.S. Marshals Service has issued a request for information on vendors who can store manage and dispose of virtual currency and tokens.
USMS aims to determine if there are existing industry sources that can help the law enforcement agency manage its inventory of seized and forfeited cryptocurrency, according to a notice posted Thursday on FedBizOpps.
Interested parties have until Oct. 15 to respond to the notice.
USMS operates under the Department of Justice and serves as a key component within DOJ’s Asset Forfeiture Program, which focuses on the seizure of real estate, commercial businesses, cash, financial instruments, vehicles, jewelry, art, antiques, collectibles, vessels and aircraft obtained through organized crime.
