The Commerce Department‘s U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is requesting for industry input on artificial intelligence technologies and approaches that can be applied to support the agency’s patent search and examination activities.
USPTO is in need of applications that would widen information searches, classify information, increase the validity of search results, summarize information and notify users when the patent search is complete, the DOC said Thursday in a FedBizOpps notice.
The system must also be compatible with technologies such as the Jquery user interface framework, Google‘s Chrome browser, Java and the OpenCV image conversion library, among others.
The office may form a list of potential contractors based on received input.
Responses to the sourcing are due Nov. 2.
