SES‘ government solutions business has partnered with Bushtex to provide training and testing support to the U.S. Air Force’s Air Combatant Command.
The collaboration comes as part of a $29.3M contract which tasks SES to deliver commercial Ku band satellite communications technology to the ACC in support of the command’s missions in the continental U.S., SES said Tuesday.
Bushtex is the prime contractor for the project which has a one-year base period, four one-year options and an optional six-month extension period.
Pete Hoene, president and CEO of SES Government Solutions, said the company is proud to support its small business partner as it develops its tactics, techniques and procedures for the training support program.
SES has been providing satcom services to the Defense Department and Air Force for over 30 years.
Bushtex is a woman-and minority-owned satcom services firm based in Gilbert, Ariz. that caters to U.S. government clients including the DoD and the Department of Homeland Security.
