NGA Awards Seven GEOINT Foundation, Characterization Contracts - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency has awarded contracts to four companies, one university and one nonprofit research institute for GEOINT research support services.

According to a FedBizOpps notice posted Thursday, the foundation program covers data, tools and services designed to describe geophysical and geocultural phenomenon such topography, elevation, precise imagery, geomatics, geographical databases, human geography and safety for aeronautical and maritime navigation.

The characterization program covers analytical efforts to help NGA establish detailed understanding of specific geospatial interest areas such as highly spatial, spectral and temporal resolution data.

Awardees and amounts for the foundation contracts are provided below:

  • Booz Allen Hamilton: $497,430
  • Decisive Analytics: $499,996
  • Raytheon: $499,893
  • University of Texas at Austin: $450,501

  • SRI International: $499,918
