NASA will hold an industry day on Nov. 1 and 2 for aviation industry entities and government agencies interested in participating in a series of challenges that aim to promote urban air mobility safety.
A FedBizOpps notice posted Wednesday says the space agency intends to use the industry day to discuss the goals and schedule of the first Grand Challenge, which will be held in 2020 in Seattle, Wash.
NASA will also inform the industry day participants of the requirements for making business and research plans for GC-1, as well as the benefits they will potentially gain from the challenge.
Registration for the industry day will close on Oct. 19.
GC-1 will be part of the NASA Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate’s efforts in providing an accessible air transport system for UAM-capable vehicles.
