A consortium of defense publications has recognized Leidos for its contributions to the industry and public sector.
The company said Thursday it was selected for the industry innovator and public sector innovation categories in this year’s Government Innovation Awards.
Leidos was bestowed the “Industry Innovator†award for its cloud-based Leidos Enterprise Application Framework system containing reusable software development applications.
The company’s other achievements include the launch of the Leidos Alliance Partner Network as well as other research and development efforts on data science, enterprise information technology modernization, health workflow, cybersecurity and cloud-related technologies.
Award organizers also highlighted the firm’s efforts to eliminate hardware, streamline operations and reduce costs for the Defense Information Systems Agency’s Defense Information System Network through the use of artificial intelligence, analytics and automated technology.
Leidos Chief Technology Officer John Fratamico said the company is “passionate about looking at things differently in order to deliver the next wave of technological solutions and services that drive innovation for the government’s needs.”
The Government Innovation Awards are given annually to honor firms that deliver innovative technology to the public sector and support the government’s transformative IT efforts.
