A partnership between Knowesis and General Dynamics‘ information technology business has been selected to provide administrative, scientific and technical support services to the Army Public Health Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland.
Knowesis said Tuesday its team will help APHC facilitate health surveillance, epidemiology, prevention and awareness, health promotion, laboratory and veterinary research efforts.
The contract consolidates support functions that originate from an integration of multiple U.S. Army health and medical units.
APHC’s mission is to prepare contingency plans for diseases, injury and other health risks that can affect readiness within the service branch.
Sheilah O’Brien, managing principal at Knowesis, said the company seeks to extend the support it offers to the Military Health System to the center.
The company offers strategic planning, enterprise reporting, data analysis, communications, evaluation and program management services to the public sector.
