The Department of Homeland Security has certified KeyW’s Parrot Labs group as an official training provider in a government-sponsored online resource of cybersecurity training and education services.
Parrot Labs’ seven cyber mission training courses are listed in the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Careers and Studies catalog, KeyW said Thursday.
The courses are designed to comply with NIC’s Education Cybersecurity Workforce Framework that outlines cybersecurity efforts by category; work role; specialty area; task; and knowledge, skill and ability.
KeyW Chief Operating Officer John Sutton said the company is honored to support DHS’ efforts to train the future cybersecurity workforce and will leverage this achievement in efforts to grow cybersecurity market presence.
Sutton added that Parrot Labs previously received endorsements from the American Council on Education.
NICCS is intended to connect government workers, educators, employers and students to cybersecurity training providers throughout the country.
