Verizon has received a $297.3M modification to a contract from the Virginia Information Technologies Agency for voice and data network services in support of the state’s units.
The company will work to continuously modernize services upon transitioning from the previous contract’s sole-supplier approach to a new multi-sourcing services environment, VITA said Tuesday.
The modification provides for integrated voice and data network services, in contrast to the base contract’s provision of these services separately.
Work under the renewed contracting environment will begin on Dec. 15 and continue over a five-and-a-half year effective period.
