Theodore “Ted” Harrison, senior vice president of innovation learning at Technical and Project Engineering, has been appointed to the inaugural standards consensus body of the National Contract Management Association.
He will work with other SCB members in efforts to develop contract management practices and requirements in support of NCMA’s initiatives as accredited standards developer for the American National Standards Institute, TAPE said Tuesday.
His term on the SCB runs through June 30, 2021.
TAPE President and CEO Louisa Long Jaffe said Harrison can offer his government contracting experience and insight to NCMA, ANSI and other industry stakeholders.
He is currently a member of Congress’ Section 809 Panel on Acquisition Reform, which aims to help the Defense Department explore methods to simplify the DoD acquisition process.
Harrison spent 37 years at the U.S. Army where he served in acquisition roles and led the Army Contracting Command from 2013 to 2015. He retired from the military in March with the rank of major general.
