An NTT Data division has secured approval from the Small Business Administration to provide business development support to Virginia-based information technology services contractor Spear through a mentor-protege agreement.
The agreement between Spear and NTT Data Services is part of SBA’s All Small Mentor-Protege Program and could run for up to three years with a potential three-year extension, NTT Data said Monday.
“NTT Data is excited to engage with Spear in what is bound to be a mutually-beneficial relationship,†said Tim Conway, president of public sector at NTT DATA Services.
“We can now partner with Spear and use our combined technology expertise in IT modernization, applications development and data analytics to improve government, while at the same time providing Spear with counseling to improve their business,†Conway added.
SBA launched ASMPP in October 2016 as a business development initiative that aims to help small companies build up their business capabilities.
